Cockatiel’s Christmas Eve Poem

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the nest, Not a feather was flapping, not even in jest. The stockings were hung on the branches with care, In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

Loubert the Cockatiel, with feathers so bright, Head nestled behind on this cold winter’s night. Dreams of millet and seeds danced in his head, As he slept oh so peacefully in his cozy warm bed.

He knew Santa would come soon, bringing treats and fun toys, Even if he hadn’t been the least naughty of boys. Santa’s a sucker for that cute crest and wings, If that doesn’t work, he can always just sing.

For who could resist his charming crest and a song? With Loubert’s sweet melodies, nothing could go wrong. So, he slumbers in peace, not a worry to be found, Waiting for his goodies which are sure to astound.
