Once upon a time, in a cozy little bedroom perched high above a vanity, sat a charming cockatiel named Loubert. Loubert wasn’t just any bird; he was a superstar in the making! His passion for singing and dancing was matched only by his desire to perform every note and step with perfection.
On this special day, his excitement was overflowing. A special day was almost here: it was a few days before the New Year’s Eve celebration, and he had a very special performance to prepare for. Loubert wanted to make sure that everything was perfect, so it was time to practice, practice, practice.
In front of his favorite mirror, Loubert began his rehearsal. He fluffed up his feathers, took a deep breath, and belted his heart out. He danced, sang, and moved his beak to the beat.
But, oh no! While lost in his song, his human, as sneaky as a ghost, crept in with a camera in hand. She wanted to capture a sneak peek of his great performance all to herself, but he would not let her ruin the surprise.
Loubert was stunned into silence, his beak agape with disbelief. He was so flabbergasted by her disruption that he could only stare in shock. Catching his human in the act, he flew over to give her a piece of his mind.
But before he could scold her, she guided him toward the mirror, trying to entice another free performance out of him. However, he refused to reveal more until the big night. As she swayed to her melodic beat, he climbed back onto her shoulder, letting her know that she couldn’t expect to interrupt an artist, disrupt their entire flow, and still expect the show to go on.
